In the spring of 2005 we saw Point Retreat Lighthouse twice. The first time was from the boat of Sean Janes-Above & Beyond Alaska. We had a great time with his friend and the dog. A few days later we saw Point Retreat Lighthouse from the air with Butch Laughlin-Alaska Fly 'N' Fish Charters.

The funny thing is that we didn't realize that southeast Alaska is a rainforest. The locals didn't even bother with umbrellas. They said that you could tell when someone is a tourist, they have an umbrella.

Anytime it wasn't raining was considered a beautiful day to a local. I guess we all have our opinions on what a beautiful day is, I like either blue sky or some pretty clouds.
