May 2006 Newsletter Christine Cardaci announces the launching of her lighthouse photography web page at www.thelighthousehunters.com Christine will be exhibiting her photographs at the Monmouth Beach Cutltural Center from April 26--May 13, 2006. The Opening Reception will be on Sunday, April 30, 2006 from 2:00-4:00 pm. Her 1st published book, "Lighthouses and Lightships of America--The Hunters Guide" is available for purchase through her website along with her photos. Christine and her husband, Tommy, have seen over 1,000 lighthouses throughout the United States and Canada. |

Lighthouse Challenge stops at Tuckerton Seaport. Tucker's Island Lighthouse one of eleven stops along tour. Are you up for the challenge? Lighthouse enthusiasts are encouraged to participate in the 2006 Lighthouse Challenge, presented by the NJ Lighthouse Society-NJLHS. Tucker's Island Lighthouse at Tuckerton Seaport is just one of the exciting stops on the weekend-long tour of NJ's 11 points of light. In honor of the event Christine and Tom Cardaci, co-authors of "Lighthouses and Lightships of America--The Hunters Guide" will stop by the Seaport on Saturday and Sunday for a book signing from 10 to 5 pm. The lighthouse hunting duo has photographed over 1,000 lighthouses in the USA and Canada over a nine year period. Married for almost fifteen years, the couple resides in Monmouth County. |

A book discussion of The Lighthouse Hunters will be held at the Ocean Township Branch of the Monmouth County Library 701 Deal Road on November 15, 2006 from 7:00-8:30 pm. Authors Christine and Tommy Cardaci will present a visual story of their travels and adventures across the country to photograph more than 1,000 lighthouses. This was in the Notes section of the paper for the week of November 2, 2006. |

We were interviewed by NJN News' Marie DeNoia on January 9, 2007. We talked about our book and the importance of the lighthouses. The Absecon Lighthouse was about to have it's 150th birthday in a few days. Frank Foley was the camera man. The piece ran this night a few times. We were also filmed while standing outside tower looking down at the view. This is the tallest lighthouse in New Jersey. |

Chesapeake Lights Summer 2008 Newsletter Tom and Christine
Cardaci, The Lighthouse Hunters, will be at the Turkey Point location
both days. This enthusiastic and energetic duo pride themselves on having
visited 1,111 lighthouses in the USA and Canada as of this writing,
although that number will probably increase by the time this newsletter
hits the presses! They will be selling and autographing copies of Lighthouses
and Lightships of America--The Hunters Guide and will also be showcasing
an assortment of lighthouse photos they have taken during their extensive
travels. This will be Tom and Christine's third year with us. |
